it may seems small, but it is important

i found the article in berita harian online (wonder if we'll find this kind of story in kosmo, metro, etc.)
when i came home for mid sem holiday last week, it was hazy. a condition that is rarely seen before. tangkak today is different from what it was. honestly, i like it better when not so many development were done.
zaman sekolah dulu, sangat seronok berbasikal ke sekolah. lagi-lagi kalau nak pergi darjah khas. memang best. udara pagi sabtu selalunya nyaman dan kereta pun tak banyak.
bila dah ada lesen motor, seronok pecut pagi-pagi nak pergi sekolah...sejuk...kalau pergi tuisyen malam-malam pun masih boleh menikmati udara malam.waktu tu angin malam masih sejuk.dah ada lesen kereta pun masih lagi suka naik motor. sebab suka open air.
tapi sekarang, dah tak berani nak bawa motor. joging dengan adik apatah lagi.basikal pun dah bertahun terperuk kat tepi rumah.
kalau dulu cuma ada satu tempat je yang ada traffic light. sekarang sampai saya pun dah lost count. dulu kereta pun tak banyak di atas jalan. dulu kesesakan lalulintas sangat jarang. kalau ada pak cik polis trafik biasanya sebab traffic light rosak. itu pun zaman sekolah rendah dulu.
tapi sekarang dah lain.semuanya gara-gara udara yang semakin tercemar. pokok-pokok besar pun banyak dah kena tebang. bahaya katanya, takut dahan patah dan hempap orang lalu lalang.kecewa betul bila nampak pokok kekabu besar yang famous sebab bawahnya ada warung sarapan dah tak ada. pokok-pokok besar tepi sekolah pun dah kena tebang sebab nak bina bangunan baru 3 tingkat untuk sekolah.tapi, yang ditebang tak diganti dengan yang setanding dengannya...
sekadar berkongsi cerita dan kehampaan.
juga berkongsi ingatan bahawa bumi semakin tenat.
let's conserve the energy and sources. and if next time you see me carrying a reusable shopping bag, you know why...
what i did may seem simple, but it will bring big effect if everybody is doing the same thing. and this is merely one example.
the issue that i brought forth may not get the same amount of attention as the PPSMI or ISA. but it is something that was initially small but has becoming bigger day by day.

OPKIM 2009

it was fun. too fun that i've lost my words to describe. maybe later when i've got better pictures from arif, i'll let the pictures talk.
what we've done:
  1. visit hospital Melaka
  2. LDK: Muslim doctors surviving in a foreign land
  3. meeting the people of Kg Melekek (very friendly people they are)
  4. health screening session
  5. play tug-of-war aka tarik tali (it was fun)
  6. play futsal (funny!)
  7. menang sorak, hamper tergadai (hahaha)
  8. photography session (this is a must)
  9. petik buah, makan, dan bawak balik (best giler! and now my cough is getting worse)

regardless where we go, the message and the advices given to us are same

  1. study well
  2. be good muslim doctors
  3. help those in need
  4. jgn lupa daratan
as to conclude, it was an enjoyable, meaningful day. i hope that everybody gets optimum benefit from the programme. thanks to everyone who had make it a success.

i have no explanation to why these kids are attached to me

musim yang baru

this is the 1st week of the 5th semester. at the end of the year, we're going to sit for the 2nd professional exam. i'm excited. seriously. dah lama x rasa se-excited ni. dah lama juga x rasa nak buat sesuatu dgn betul2 bersungguh. alhamdulillah hati saya dah tenang.my mind is clear. i know now why i'm here.i know what i want. thanks everyone for helping me in finding my own way. you don't know how much it means to me. i realised that i've got what i wanted since i'm in the university. i've done numbers of things that i wanted to do before. even things that i've never thought that i would do. but unconsciously, i've lost another part of me. people can't really get it when i complained about it.(well, at least they listened to me) but now,insyaallah i'm me again. my friend said that i should find a 'booster maintainer'. to maintain the high spirit that i have now. hehe...he's right. sedangkan iman manusia akan turun naik,apatah lagi semangat membara yang wujud pada permulaan semester. ya, saya mmg insan yang lemah. sila betulkan saya jika saya tersilap arah.maaf atas segala salah dan silap serta keterlanjuran kata. p/s: tahniah kpd semua yg berjaya menghadapi supplement paper. korang sebenarnya orang yang terpilih,sebab org yg betul2 kuat je boleh ambik paper tu. i know that i'm not that strong.

pisang dan kg

pisang boleh tambahkan berat???
kalau dalam tournament silat, ada dua senario yang biasa dilihat.
pertama, pesilat yang menjaga diet dan hanya makan sedikit. maknanya berat dah terlebih.
yang kedua, pesilat yang berkawan baik dengan makanan terutamanya pisang. yang ni sebab berat badannya tidak mencapai ke tahap yang sepatutnya.
senior kata pisang boleh tambahkan berat badan dengan kadar segera.
i have a number of questions in my mind.
  1. scientifically, macam mana berat boleh bertambah?
  2. pisang sahaja yang boleh? makanan lain?
  3. macam mana makan pisang boleh tambah berat?
  4. kalau nak tambah berat 1kg macam mana?

anyone with answer(s)?

sedikit fakta:
  • hampir 10 biji pisang ditelan dalam masa sehari masa kat uum sebab desperate nak tambah berat badan. tapi macam tak berapa berkesan
  • faiz yang main kelas J turun 9 kg sebelum ke uum. tapi sayang, dia kalah timbang juga akhirnya
  • berat badan fikeri turun dan naik dalam masa yang singkat. kesian kat dia kena makan dalam jumlah yang banyak dan kuantiti yang banyak
  • hanya 3 penyertaan dihantar untuk kelas I putera pada masum '09
  • hampir 70% duit dibelanjakan untuk beli makanan
